What is your reaction or insight upon hearing the word internet? Of course it is an international network, worldwide website where you can get a lot of information. Internet in the life of every human being is a gift of God to us. That is why he allowed us to discover it and we should take care and use it properly. It is very helpful in our daily lives because not only for the information it can give or contribute to us, but likewise, the worldwide conversation through internet communication can make us united to each other as brothers, the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. I can say that internet in the field of the Holy Mother Church is very important and helpful too. It can help in many activities like during Eucharistic celebration such as Holy Mass, adoration and other meetings. It also served as guidelines in these activities so that people can participate well. On the other hand, there are also abuses in using the internet because of in terms of LCD slideshows, some were over decorated and other unnecessary things where being shown in the slides. That is why most of the time, the consequences are: it can destroy and destruct the attention of the people especially in the celebration of the holy mass.

In order to avoid destructions, we must choose appropriate colors to put in the slides for instance, black and white. This is a good solution because it is simple and easy to understand, read and to be seen. In addition, also avoid putting useless pictures in it.

“Advertising can violate the dignity of a human person both through its content- what is advertised, the manner in which it is advertised- and through the impact it seeks to make upon its audience“ according to the book of “Ethics in Advertising.” Yes, for me, advertising such kinds of lusty pictures and posters can destroy the dignity of a person most especially to the model in an advertisement.  Most of the advertisements in TVs and in some billboards everywhere are the posters of  ladies that can attract person in order to buy that product being advertised. Truly that a model will receive sufficient wage but this the question: Is it good to see a poster of almost naked lady especially in  huge billboards? Are these kinds of advertisements can help or let us say can be beneficial to the growth of human such as the youths of today? I ‘m not agree in these kinds of advertisements because this could stain the spirituality of every person like me. If these kinds of advertisements could not prevent early as soon as possible, children will think that  it is good for them. The media should think a better kind of advertisements that could influence a lot of people to buy their respective products.

According to the “didactic elements for a constructive interpretation of the content of motion picture medium on   100 years co cinema,” in order to counteract the youngsters of today from being always in front of the TV, these are some guidelines: Creating  a greater awareness of parents, to encourage them to supervise their children’s approach to TV as much as possible” and ” the use of film index forms and questionnaires by educators and teaching staff.” In my own opinion, these guidelines can help the people of today most especially the youth to limit their time in front of TV. In my insight, this could affect their studies; it can also destroy their moods in doing their assignments including heir household chores because some are just waiting for their favorite shows. Also, it could be the reason being lazy in going to school regularly. On the other hand, the second quotation says that a teacher must choose an interesting and satisfactory film for the students to watch in order or them to learn how to compare and relate the events happening in the film into reality or to the real world. Also a film viewing with questionnaires can make the students better in getting the ideas, messages and on how to think deeply. I want to say that if only a religious film are to be shown in all channels and in schools, maybe the youth of today have already learned about moral and spiritual growth of every human.

As we all know, pornographically magazines and films are exactly bad in our spiritual growth not only as a Christian but also as a people of God. Today, we can observe in our society about the increasing numbers of the people who are in the habit of watching pornographically pictures and films. For your own opinion, is it good for you to be like this or let us say, one of the people being addicted in that kind of living? It is sad to say that humanity of a man today is little by little getting worst and being stain by bad acts and evil thought in mind. I know that it is very hard to prevent these circumstances because many people will lost their source of revenue as a seller of that kind of big business but we really need the cooperation of each one of us. In my own insight about this case, we should be unified and try to help each other to protect our humankind and save our dignity as human being created by God in His own image and likeness.

As Jesus in terms of Social Communication, He gave us all this kind of media as a gift to his beloved sons and daughters in order to use them according to their proper usage. Most of all, he gave us Social communication in order for us to communicate with Him and to one another. Through this, we can attain unity, peace and love to one another as the Father’s love to us. In the life of Christians including all people in the world, social communication is a part of our daily living so we need to thank God for his care to us. For Him alone who gave all source of living here on earth and for giving us knowledge, wisdom and strength to discover these kinds of high technology machines and gadgets for our benefits. As I reflected on the “Communio et Progressio”. In the contribution of catholic to social communications, the church wanted to help the people specially us youth to be aware on the proper use of media. As I observe in some programs in the TV and radio there are some behavior such us disrespect to the other party, I’m pertinence and in the distraction of individuals background in this case, the benefit of media to us were already destroyed and disappeared because of our being heedless. The church wanted us to use the media not only for the benefit of an individual but for all.

Communication is very important in our social kind of living. All of us are using media but don’t we know that not all the news flashing to the other programs are not true. In majority today, some people lose their faith and trust in God. Some did not know him as the creator of all things seen and unseen. God wants us to use his given gift for the good of all.

           

Social communication in the life of every people especially to us Christians is very important. As Jesus did to his disciples when he was still here on earth, He communicate and mingled to different people, He thought His disciples all the good acts and through the use of communication, His disciples were able to thought us these as a sign of His great love. He also said us that we will love our fellowmen or brethren.

        In this short reflection, just want to emphasize my feeling through the use of the social communication and on how it affects the lives of my fellowmen. As a seminarian, I want to be a good model to the young people like me most especially to those who are in uncivilized places who do not know the importance of a social communication in our daily lives. Today in our society, people are really in need of good leaders that could enlighten and can make the people be aware in the proper use of social communication. As we can see now, our society is getting worst and the evilness is continuously spreading throughout the world. It is very sad to say that a lot of people are disobeying the rules and laws of the church, misbehaving and committing so many sins regarding the proper use of social communication. For me as a seminarian, I need more understanding about this “Guidelines for Future Priest” for me to be a good priest in the future as a leader of the church. In case I will not become a priest, these guidelines have many advantages especially in terms of being a Christian, a follower of Christ. I an also apply this in my everyday life.

        As a conclusion to this reflection,  we must be a true follower of Christ and a good model to our fellowmen in words, actions and I thoughts through the use of social Communication in our everyday living. We must imitate our Lord Jesus Christ as a great leader and teacher of all good things.

 

In our daily lives especially in this present times or the so called “Modern Generation”, social communications or the media is getting more high-tech than in the past centuries. Through the use of these gadgets such as cell phones and computers we become more acquainted with one another. Through this, we become aware and we were able to gather information about the events that are happening in our society. This is how media works.  They are beneficial to us.

Of course if there are the good effects of the media, there are also the negative effects and they are very obvious now in our society. The use of media is already getting worst and abuse by the people. The use of communication should be limited or to be control. It should be in a proper way of using all this kind of media communication. Many people around the world are already affected in this kind of abuses in terms of the false news and even announcement in the TV, radio, computers, and newspapers. The bad thing is the use of the media as a kind of livelihood. Some are not even bothered on the effects of it to their fellowmen. Each member of the media should respect the other programs, shows and other parties as a sign of good relationship, unity, love and peace in our society. The church said that the use of media should be in a proper way not in a wrong way. Actually this is correct because we can hurt people and break the relationship of our fellowmen. The improper use of media is a sin to God because of the abuses and bad intentions of the people.

                As a conclusion in this short reflection I want to say that the proper use of media is very important to us as a follower of Christ and as Christian as well. We should be united in proclaiming His wonderful deeds through the use of social communication. For without Him social communication doesn’t exist in our society today. He is the key of a good relationship through the use of social communication process.
